It is not clear whether investigators exhausted all of their avenues of
information before confiscating Ms. Watkinss information.
It's about control & power...now the electronic means exist, and has
been perfected to where a boatload of info can be examined for a given
person...on or off Internet.
News reporters need to not use electronic means, and inform their
sources as such....
Those in power tend to want a means to ID the heard. For years, since
end of WWII, US military used a discharge paper, DD214, to "code" the
animals. And a copy of this was sent to your state's attroney
So, the "cattle" were branded, and if a potential employer was aware,
they would ask for your DD214. MY SPN was good, but if a person was
branded "bad," it would have affected employment by many
"SPN codes and Separation Codes are frequently assigned on the basis
of subjective judgments which are difficult for the dischargee to
challenge. Until recently, the codes had different meanings in each
branch of service, and they have been changed several times, leaving
them prone to misinterpretation by employers not possessing the proper
key. Although employers are not supposed to know what the SPN codes
mean, many have found out as a result of leaks from the agencies
authorized to have them."
